Kerala receives email threat of bomb blasts

Kerala has received an email threat from the United Arab Emirates, threatening a series of bomb blasts in the state.

The email was received on Thursday at a few media offices and was traced by the cyber police. The email was sent by one Zakir Hussain, who claimed to be the Commander in chief of the newly formed Malabar Mujahid with its head office n Karachi.

The email said that the main aim was to form a separate Muslim state. It said that seven Kilograms of RDX had been shipped into Kerala through the Malabar Coast. The Police have registered a case in this regard at he Kannur Police station.

In view of the email threat, security had been tightened at bus stands, Railway Stations and civil stations.
