Kerala government sanctions Rs 2 crore to tackle Swine flu

    The Kerala government on Wednesday sanctioned Rs two crore for establishing treatment facilities to fight the influenza.

    After the cabinet meeting, Kerala Chief Minister told reporters the amount would be used for developing treatment facilities at select hospitals and also for providing expert medical care for patients.

    The Chief Minister also expressed anxiety over the increase of H1N1 cases in the state. He also said that the Centre government would be asked to give sanction to the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) here for testing H1N1 virus.
